Todd Gingerich of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis after a brief illness. Todd was born August 29, 1972 in Goshen, Indiana to parents Marlene and Stan Gingerich. In 1991, he graduated from Goshen High School and went on to study Art, Music, and German at Goshen College. Todd was also a German exchange student. Todd married his wife Sylvia (Boone) Gingerich in 2001 and they have three amazing children together: Jasper, Corgan, and Mason. Todd is also survived by brother Christopher (Anamaria) Gingerich, of Goshen, sister Tara (Andy) Hathaway, of Indianapolis, sister Karie Gingerich, of Indianapolis, sister Kayla (Jennifer) Gingerich, of Goshen, and brother Jordan Gingerich, of Indianapolis. He was also the uncle of fourteen wonderful nieces and nephews.
Todd worked in the beer, wine, and spirits industry for the past six years and especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge of craft beers with others. He was an artist and a musician. He was a traveler, yet found great comfort and happiness in spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday, January 20th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at The Knights of Columbus #1043 at 112 E. Lexington Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana. Cremation with burial will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that your generosity be shared with Sylvia and the children to assist with this transition without Todd.
